I like seeing things like this. You know what else goes through this synchronization? Car blinkers. Next time you are at a red light to make a left look at all the blinkers in front of you and see how long it takes for them to sync with your car blinker. The sync usually last one or two blinks. I don't I've ever seen it past 3. Yea, I get bored I stop lights.
